Pre-sale: Cask 008, 1 x 70cl bottle
Cask 008 is a Pedro Ximenez sherry quarter cask that has been filled with 113L of our new make spirit at 60% abv. The new make spirit has been produced from Marris Otter distilling malt and has been mash, fermented, double pot distilled in direct fired copper pot stills in Somerset, it will be aged and bottle in Somerset.
You are purchasing 1 x 70cl of spirit from this cask, the cask was laid down on the 20th April 2023 and will be bottled somewhere between 3-6 years of age and will be bottled at cask strength.
The cost of £50 is for the purchase of the spirit only, it will be stored duty suspended in our warehouse. Upon bottling and before dispatch you will need to pay the duty, bottling fee and VAT on the whole amount. This amount will be invoiced separately and will need to be paid via bank transfer before the bottle is released from the duty warehouse.
Currently the total cost would be made up of £50 (spirit), £11.47 (duty based on 57% abv and duty rate of £28.74), bottling fee of £3.50 and vat of £12.99 (Vat rate 20%) giving a total of £77.96. please note duty is already set to increase and VAT may well in crease as well.
We are expecting to bottle around 130 bottles from this cask are are looking to pre sell 40 bottles.
